Professor M. Dato’ Dr. Rishya Manickam is an award-winning Consultant Emergency Physician, academician, and one of Malaysia’s leading voices in emergency and resuscitative medicine. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he is known for his precision in high-pressure scenarios, his dedication to medical education, and his mission to raise the standards of emergency care across the region. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Malaya and a Consultant at both UM Medical Centre (UMMC) and UM Specialist Centre (UMSC), Dr. Rishya combines frontline clinical excellence with academic leadership. His work spans trauma care, advanced cardiac life support, disaster medicine, critical care, and emergency ultrasound.
